Free Fruit began as a creative competition run by Lincolnshire Co-op, inviting children under the age of 13 to design their own campaign using three specific fruits. After the winning entry was selected, I was responsible for transforming the original artwork into a polished digital design while keeping the spirit and personality of the child’s illustration intact. This involved carefully redrawing elements, refining colours, and enhancing the overall composition so it could work effectively across professional formats without losing its original charm.
Once the design was finalised, I rolled it out across a wide range of media, including print materials, in-store displays, and digital platforms. Each format required thoughtful adaptation to ensure the design remained clear, engaging, and consistent at different sizes and resolutions. I also ensured the final outputs met brand guidelines while still celebrating the creativity of the original concept. For GDPR compliance, I removed the winner’s name and age from the version shown here, though full credit is available on the Lincolnshire Co-op website.
